Dil Bechara starring Sushant Singh Rajput is released on Disney Plus Hotstar on 24th July, 2020.

The film is directed by casting director Mukesh Chhabra and It’s his debut film as a filmmaker. He’s known for casting actors in films like Gangs of Wasseypur, Kai Po Che, Shahid, D-Day, etc. He has done a great job by making this film such special for SSR. He utilized leads in a very brilliant and prolific way. Every scene is beautifully executed and the way he’s shown the lead’s chemistry, it’s amazing. A promising debut by Mukesh Chhabra.

Sushant has given a magical performance and it’s very special and emotional film especially because it was his last film. He stands out in every frame, He’s shared a very blossoming chemistry with Sanjana Sanghi. She’s delivered a brilliant performance in her very debut as a lead. Sushant makes you laugh, cry and teaches you to live cheerfully in a Thalaivar manner.

Supporting cast is amazing, they make the film stronger through their fabulous performances and top notch chemistry especially Shahil Vaid.
Surprise cameo of Saif Ali Khan toughens the screenplay, He nailed it in a mere 4 to 5 min scene.

Film’s story revolves around two cancer patient who come close to each other as the story goes. Kizie Basu(Sanjana) is suffering from thyroid cancer and Manny(Sushant) is suffering from Osteosarcoma(Tumor in Bone). Manny tries to impress Kizie and they become friends, develops relationship gradually. Manny lives life with full of joy, surprises and drama(inspired by his idol Rajinikanth) and Kizie is bit more serious about life. Later story is about how they fulfill their dreams and how they end up being hero and heroine of their own story.

Screenplay is written by acclaimed screenwriter Shashank Khaitan and Suprotim Sengupta, It’s written beautifully. It’s gripping, funny, dramatic and inspiring. It’s executed on screen finely and they did a commendable job. It makes the film worth watching.

Cinematography is good, could be better but still gives life to every frame of the film.

Music is the highlight of the film, it drives the film in every manner. It gives power to the performance, to the screenplay, to the direction. Super amazing work by AR Raheman.

It’s a must watch film whether you’re a fan of Sushant or not. It’s a fine and blissful tribute to beloved Sushant Singh Rajput.
