The Old Gaurd starring Charlize Theron is released on OTT plateform Netflix on 10th July, 2020.

Well the film is directed by Gina Prince Bythewood, a female director who has a lot potential to put in and she is know for films like Love and Basketball and Beyond the lights etc. She did a fine job by utilizing all the casts in a right way.

Charlize Theron has given a badass performance and performed an astounding action sequences, She looks convincing in every frame whether it’s an action one or not. It’s always great to see her in badass avtar whether it’s the old gaurd or mad max.

Supporting cast (Kiki Layne,Matthias Schoenaerts,Marwan Kenzari,Luca Merinelli) is quite good, they are convincing in their role. Chiwetel Ejiofor delivered amazing scenes as he always does and Harry Melling as the main antagonist gave fine performance and it’s good to see our Dudly(Harry Potter fame) back.

Film’s story revolves around the army of four supernatural people who’s serving the humanity since ages that’s why they’re named ‘The Old Gaurd’. They don’t die, They live on forever. In modern 21st century A crazy scientist(CEO of pharmaceutical company) wants to research on these people to extract the idea of immortality by torturing them. Then the story rises from slow pace and entertains you in every manner.

Story is captured very well and it can be easily judged by it’s brilliant cinematography. It stands firm with huge action sequences that boosts the film. Story is detailed by intelligent screenplay that remains outright and humane throughout the film. It’s driven by fast pace and niche score.

Well if you’re a fan of Charlize Theron’s Mad Max/Hancock, you must watch this action flick. It offers you everything storytelling, entertainment and action sequences of Charlize.
